Owner, President and CEO of The Eye Care Center since 1995, Dr. Phillips graduated from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry with a Doctor of Optometry degree and B.S., in Visual Sciences. Upon graduation in 1986, he began his optometric practice at The Eye Care Center and became partners with its founder, Dr. Jake Rosner.
Dr. Phillips is board certified by the International Board of Optometric Examiners in The Management and Treatment of Ocular Disease. He is also certified in CRT, the reversible non-surgical correction of myopia using contact lenses you sleep in. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Phillips has also performed clinical research as both a Principal and Subinvestigator for both contact lens and pharmaceutical sponsors. A member of the Speaker’s Bureau for Vistakon and Optos North America, he is an invited lecturer on implementation of technology into the optometric practice, the diagnosis and management of retinal diseases, and the benefits of technological advances to contact lens wearers. He is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as its Cornea and Contact lens section.
Dr. Phillips’ specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye, patients with keretoconus, irregular corneas and the hard to fit contact lens patients as well as educating diabetic patients during their yearly examinations about its ocular complications and how to avoid them.
Married and a father of two children, Dr. Phillips is also a PIAA basketball official. He enjoys golfing, biking, and traveling.
