Thomas Phillips, OD
In 1987, after partnering with the original owner of The Eye Care Center, Dr. Jake Rosner, Dr. Phillips was the sole owner from 1995 to 2005. He was The Eye Care Center’s co-owner with Dr. Csonka from 2005 to 2024.
Dr. Phillips graduated from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry with a Doctor of Optometry degree and a Bachelor of Science in Visual Sciences. He is board certified in the Management and Treatment of Ocular Disease by the International Board of Optometric Examiners and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry.
Dr. Phillips is certified in myopia (nearsightedness) management and control using CRT (Corneal Refractive Therapy) Lenses, the reversible non-surgical correction of myopia (nearsightedness) using contact lenses that one sleeps in as well as MiSight soft 1 day contact lenses.
Throughout his tenure, Dr. Phillips has also performed clinical research trials as a Principal and Sub-Investigator for both contact lenses and pharmaceutical sponsors. He has been an invited Keynote Speaker for Bausch & Lomb, Vistakon (Johnson & Johnson) and Optos North America.
Dr. Phillips is a member of the American Optometric Association, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and the Buck-Mont Optometric Association.
Dr. Phillips enjoys collaborating with patients to mutually implement an appropriate treatment plan that will meet the intricacies or their visual needs and ocular health. He also enjoys educating his patients about their ocular health and how lifestyle choices can affect their vision.
He has been married for over 40 years and is the proud father of two adult children and three grandchildren. He enjoys his personal time with family, biking, golfing, traveling and volunteering with church and local community organizations.
